Stone Cleaning & Paint Removal

Micro-blast, steam, nebulous water, chemical and graffiti cleaning — always the gentlest effective method.

Cleaning historic stone is a conservation decision, not a cosmetic one. Over-aggressive cleaning removes the fired or weathered surface and accelerates decay for the next hundred years. Every project begins with trial panels and the presumption in favour of the gentlest method.

What this includes

  • Nebulous water cleaning
  • Superheated steam (DOFF) cleaning
  • Micro-abrasive blast cleaning (JOS / TORC systems)
  • Poultice and chemical cleaning
  • Paint and limewash removal
  • Graffiti removal and anti-graffiti systems
  • Biological growth treatment
  • Sacrificial and breathable protective coatings
